The Great Girlfriends Weekend Bake Off

If you’re a fan of “The Great British Bake Off” you’ll love what we’ve cooked up for you! This class will include a lesson in trending cake decorating techniques but with the fun and flair of the competition show energy you love in a Bake Off episode. Best part is, we’ve done the baking for you! You’ll be supplied with a 6” cake, ready to decorate, and all the elements and advice from our top decorator that you’ll need to be awarded our top prize. Raise Your Glass To Girlfriends

Join local artist Carolyn Stich at Carolyn Stich Studio to paint your very own wine glass or glass plate! Custom templates designed by Carolyn herself guarantee that your painting experience will fun and and relaxing. This is a great time to catch up with your girlfriends and let your artistic side shine. Cherry Republic will be offering wine tastings and mocktails, as well as their light appetizers and treats during each class.

Cocktail Class

Get ready to shake things up at Girlfriend’s Weekend Cocktail Making Class at Boatwerks! Join us on Saturday, March 8, for an interactive, step-by-step tutorial where you’ll learn to whip up a martini that’s a party for your taste buds! Holland’s coolest bartenders, Steve and Aly, will lead you through crafting our best-selling Raspberry Lemon Drop & a Cherry Espresso Martini. Not only will you be mixing and sipping your martinis, but you’ll also receive a copy of the recipes and a stainless-steel shaker to show off your new skills at home!

Paint Your Own Masterpiece

Time to get creative! Bring your girlfriends and receive expert step-by-step instructions for creating your own masterpiece of Holland’s iconic tulips! It’s a fun way to commemorate your weekend in Downtown Holland!

Cheese 101 Class

Calling all cheese lovers!  Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from the cheese experts at Culture Cheese Shop!  During this fun and delicious class, you’ll have the opportunity to taste samples of cheeses from six different categories (with three bonus cheeses too!) Cheese will be paired with four different wine samples and a variety of charcuterie accompaniments. Class participants will also have the opportunity to win a wooden charcuterie board or a gift basket.

Pouch Party: Create & Color

Enjoy this fun hands-on class in their brand-new studio space. Topics will cover choosing decorative objects and understanding scale, proportion, placement, grouping, color, vignettes, themes and more. Enjoy a snack, ask a burning question, get the inside scoop on interior design!

Girlfriends Weekend Cocktail Class

New Holland’s bar staff will lead you through the process of creating exquisite craft cocktails! Then you get to try your hand at bartending while they guide you through the process. They will provide all the tools necessary for you to create three delicious cocktails! You are welcome to order food before, during, or after the class too.

Mixed Media Art Canvas

Let your creative side shine at Seedlings! Create a one-of-a-kind mixed media collage with an 8×10 canvas, your choice of rice paper, and elements you will from our bins of paper, beads, baubles, and more. So much fun, and if you think you’re not creative, they’ll prove you wrong!

Donut Decorating at Sprinkles!

Meet Sprinkles owner Gary VanderStelt and decorate your own delicious Sprinkles donuts in your own creative style! Class lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Hypnosis by Chuck King

Chuck King is a comedian, magician, and hypnotist who performs from coast to coast. He opens his show with 10-12 minutes of award-winning magic, then moves into the featured part of the show, where audience members volunteer to be hypnotized and become the stars of the show. From race car driving to bird watching to being pulled over by the police, you can expect to burst into riots of laughter as your friends become Hollywood’s next casting call favorites. This show is one hour and 15 minutes. A cash bar and limited menu will be available.
